The Pennyrile region is located in western Kentucky and includes Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Trigg counties. The study area will also include Montgomery County, Tennessee.
The West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (WKWIB) is a nonprofit organization responsible for responding to training needs, economic development, and workforce development programs throughout the Purchase / Pennyrile regions. The WKWIB oversees the One-Step Career Center System in the region in conjunction with local elected officials.
Serving as the fiscal agent of the WKWIB, the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) is a nine (9) county regional planning and economic development group. Its collaboration with and support of workforce development serves to enhance its economic development initiatives in the region.
